JAZBO Height Ordinance for study i 1 1 1 1 1 1 38 CITY OF SOUTHLAKE, TEXAS REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL March 21, 1972 The City Council of the City of Southlake met in regular session ' in the Council Chamber of City Hall on Tuesday, March 21st, 1972, with the following members present: Wade Booker, Mayor Ralph Polson, Mayor Pro Tem Billy Joe Knox, Councilman W. O. Nunn, Councilman R. D. Drummond, Councilman Absent: Thurman Hearn, Councilman ' Also present: William D. Campbell, City Attorney Mayor Booker called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. The minutes were approved as read. ZA-71-16: No comments for or against the request by Manuel Gonzalez for A-1 zoning on his property described by metes and bounds in the aforementioned zoning application were made by anyone in the audience at this public hearing on same. Where- upon, Councilman Polson moved to pass and approve Ordinance No. 161-36 changing the zoning on the twenty-five acres of land described therein from Ag District to A-1 District; seconded by Councilman Knox. Motion carried unanimously. (Copy attached and made a part hereof.) The bills presented were approved for payment on motion by Council- man Polson; seconded by Councilman Knox. Motion carried unan- imously. The mayor called a special meeting to be held on April 3, 1972, 7:30 p.m. here at City Hall for the purpose of canvassing the votes from the Municipal election of April 1st. The Council was advised that the water storage tank at Well Site #1 is in bad need of repainting inside. The Water Superintendent, W. G. Cline, recommends the City employ Johnny Reynolds, weal established in this type of work and of good reputation, who will use a fiberglass coating, at a cost of approximately $5,000.00. ,The Mayor informed the Council he had contacted another firm whose price was $15,000. Councilman Knox moved to have the work done as soon as possible; seconded by Councilman Drummond. Motion carried unanimously. 39 The Council was given a copy of the finalized airport height control ordinance prepared by JAZBO for study with a view to passage of same at a later date. The Council was advised that no other city had adopted this ordinance at this time. City Street' Nsmin was reported on by Councilman Drummond, head- ing the a hoc committee composed of Mrs. Virginia Clow, Frank Tetrault and Lloyd Wolf." Resolution No. 72-5, which sets out names for unnamed streets an changes the name of certain streets, was passed and approved on motion by Councilman Nunn; seconded by Councilman Knox.
