Ambulance Ordinance was next discussed. The motion was made
by Councilman Knox to adopt Ordinance No. 181 regulating
ambulance service within the City; seconded by Councilman
Polson. Motion carried unanimously. (The City Secretary was
directed to mail copies of same to the local ambulance ser-
vices as well as Hurst, Lewisville and Fort Worth companies.)
Councilman Brown moved to approve for payment the bills pre-
sented; seconded by Councilman Booker. Motion carried un-
animously.
More discussion was had regarding the amending of the present
Fireworks Ordinance to attempt prohibition of the sale and/or
shod ting of fireworks beyond our corporate limits. It was
the opinion of Mr. Campbell that as a general law city South-
lake could not do this but he would check still further.
On motion by Councilman Booker, seconded by Councilman Knox,
the following salary increases were granted:
Sgt..Dan Cordes $35, Officer Gaddy, $25, Clerk Burch $20,
Dispatcher Staley $25, City Secretary Wallace $25.
The motion carried unanimously.
The Mayor told the Council that Jerry Gilliland, who makes
electrical inspections for the City, has donated his services
for the months of September through December. The City
Secretary was directed to write him a letter of thanks.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
