REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OCTOBER 20, 1970
The City Council of the City of Southlake, Texas, met in
Regular session in the Council Chamber of City Hall on
Tuesday, October 20, 1970, with the following members
present:
J. L. Clow, Mayor
Wade Booker, Mayor Pro Tem
Buddy Brown, Councilman
Ralph Polson, Councilman
Absent: Billy Joe Knox, Councilman
Thurman Hearn, Councilman '
Also present: William D. Campbell, City Attorney
Mayor Clow called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Rev.
Gene Tyson, City Chaplain, gave the invocation.
The minutes of the last regular meeting were approved as
read. The minutes of the special meeting October 14th
were approved as read.
Action on the garbage contract with Suburban Disposal '
Service was postponed due to Bud Hall's failure to appear.
The Third Quarterly Report was distributed among the
Council by the City Secretary. No comments were made.
Resolution 70-6: Councilman Brown moved that Resolution
70- be passed wherein the City of Southlake concurs in
the construction and maintenance of an outfall line by
the Carroll School District on the north side of County
Road 3080 east of the new high school to Dove Creek; '
seconded by Councilman Polson. Motion carried unanimously.
Motion by Councilman Booker to approve the bills presented
for payment; seconded by Councilman Polson. Motion carried
unanimously. Discussion was had concerning an ordinance regulating
ambulance service, loose livestock on public roads, and
a city sales tax.
Thee. being no further business, the meeting adjourned.
