Patton, and Shahid Shafi (Place 6 is vacant).
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Shana Yelverton, Assistant City Manager Ben
Thatcher, Assistant City Manager 1 Director of Economic Development and Tourism
Alison Orlowski, Chief Financial Officer Sharen Jackson, Assistant to the City Manager

Special Session called to order by Mayor Hill at 5:33 pm.
2. CONSIDER PROPOSAL TO ADOPT A TAX INCREASE AND SET PUBLIC
HEARING ON THE TAX RATE FOR THE AUGUST 15, 2017 AND
SEPTEMBER 5, 2017 REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETINGS.

Chief Financial Officer Sharen Jackson presented this item and answered questions
from Council.
A motion was made to consider proposal to adopt a tax increase and set public hearing
on the tax rate for the August 15, 2017 and September 5, 2017 regular City Council
meetings.
