CITY COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor John Terrell, Mayor Pro Tem Brandon Bledsoe,
Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Pamela A. Muller and Councilmembers Carolyn Morris, Randy
Williamson and Laura Hill
CITY COUNCIL ABSENT: Council member Martin Schelling.

The Special City Council Meeting was called to order by Mayor Terrell at 5:31 p.m.
2. INVOCATION
Mr. Clayton Reed gave the invocation. Mayor Terrell led the pledge of allegiance to the
United States and Texas Flags.
3. RESOLUTION NO. 14 -020, CANVASS THE RETURNS AND DECLARE THE
RESULTS OF THE GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON MAY 10, 2014.
APPROVED
Mayor Terrell read into record the results of the May 10, 2014 General Election. The
returns declared the following:
• Shahid Shafi elected to City Council, Place 1 — term expiring May 2017
• Gary Fawks elected to City Council, Place 6 — term expiring May 2017

OF THE GENERAL ELECTION HELD ON MAY 10, 2014 FOR THE PURPOSES OF
ELECTING COUNCIL MEMBERS TO PLACES 1 AND 6; AND PROVIDING AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.

Judge Carol Montgomery administered the Oath of Office to newly elected officials
Shahid Shafi and Gary Fawks.

Mayor Terrell adjourned the special meeting at 5:39 p.m.
