CITY COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor John Terrell, Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Pamela A.
Muller and Councilmembers Laura Hill, Carolyn Morris, Martin Schelling, and Randy
Williamson.
CITY COUNCIL ABSENT: Mayor Pro Tem Brandon Bledsoe.
SENIOR ADVISORY COMMISSION PRESENT: Chairman Richard McCauley,
Members Jean Boland, Louis Braun, Charles F. Boyd, David Baltimore, Beverly Blake
(Alternate 2).
SENIOR ADVISORY COMMISSION ABSENT: Vice Chairman Nancy Sporn, Secretary
Margie Kyle.
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Shana Yelverton, Assistant City Manager Ben

AGENDA:
1. CALL TO ORDER
The joint meeting was called to order by Mayor Terrell at 4:31 p.m.
2. STAFF PRESENTATION: HISTORY OF SENIOR ACTIVITY CENTER
Director of Community Services Chris Tribble presented information on the history of
the Senior Activity Center and programs offered at the Center.

3. SENIOR ADVISORY COMMISSION REPORT:
Chairman Richard McCauley and Ms. Beverly Blake provided Council with an update on
the Senior Advisory Commission that included information on a potential benefactor for
the center. They also reviewed with Council the desires of the senior population
regarding a "stand alone" senior center.
4. DISCUSS FUTURE OF THE SENIOR ACTIVITY CENTER.
Council, staff and the commission discussed feasibility concerns of having two separate
facilities.
5. ADJOURN
Mayor Terrell adjourned the special meeting at 5:40 p.m.
