Recognition and reception for President's Volunteer Service Award recipient. Mayor Terrell recognized resident Emily Galpin for her extensive volunteer work in the community and read a letter from President Barack Obama pertaining to the President's Call To Service Award. Ms. Galpin thanked Council and other volunteers for their efforts and support towards the many projects she has worked on. Mayor Terrell invited everyone to the foyer for a reception of cake and punch for Ms. Galpin. Mayor Terrell announced City Council would be going into Executive Session pursuant to the Texas Government Code, Section 551.071, consultation with the city attorney; Section 551.072, deliberation regarding real property; and Section 551.087, deliberation regarding economic development negotiations.
