1. Call to order.
2. Consider SP06-281, Variance to Sign Ordinance No. 704-B for Miracle Pointe located at
2200 Crooked Lane.
3. Consider SP06-282, Variance to Sign Ordinance No. 704-B for McDonald's located at
225 North Kimball Avenue.
4. Consider SP06-283, Variance to Sign Ordinance No. 704-B for Subway to be located at
1101 East Northwest Parkway, Suite 112.
5. Meeting adjourned.

CITY COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Andy Wambsganss, Mayor Pro Tern Carolyn Morris and
Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Terrell; and Councilmembers Laura K. Hill, Gregory Jones, Virginia M.
Muzyka and Vernon Stansell.
CITY COUNCIL ABSENT: None.
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Shana Yelverton, Assistant City Manager Jim Blagg,
Assistant to the City Manager Ben Thatcher, Information Systems Manager Gary Gregg, Audio
Visual System Technician Pam Jordan, Director of Economic Development Greg Last, Director
of Planning Ken Baker, Chief Planner Dennis Killough, City Attorney E. Allen Taylor, and City
Secretary Lori Farwell.
Agenda Item No.1. Call to order. The regular seSSIOn was called to order by Mayor
Wambsganss at 10:07 p.m.
Agenda Item No.2. Consider SP06-28L Variance to Sign Ordinance No. 704-B for Miracle
Pointe located at 2200 Crooked Lane. Chief Planner Killough presented this item to Council.
Applicant Mark Funderburk, 3624 Oak Lawn, Dallas, Texas, made a presentation and answered
Council's questions.
Motion was made to approve SP06-281, Variance to Sign Ordinance No. 704-B for Miracle
Pointe located at 2200 Crooked Lane as presented.
Motion: Stansell
Second: Jones
Ayes: Hill, Jones, Morris, Muzyka, Stansell, Terrell, Wambsganss

Agenda Item No.3. Consider SP06-282, Variance to Sign Ordinance No. 704-B for McDonald's
located at 225 North Kimball Avenue. Chief Planner Killough presented this item to Council.
Applicant Ken Laboto, 225 Kimball Avenue, Southlake, Texas, made a presentation and
answered Council's questions.
Motion was made to approve SP06-282, Variance to Sign Ordinance No. 704-B for McDonald's
located at 225 North Kimball Avenue as presented to also include the removal of the "playplace"
sign as part of this approval.

Agenda Item No.4. Consider SP06-283, Variance to Sign Ordinance No. 704-B for Subway to
be located at 1101 East Northwest Parkway, Suite 112. Chief Planner Killough presented this
item to Council. Applicant Eric Warner, 3575 Lone Star Circle, Fort Worth, Texas, made a
presentation and answered Council's questions.
Motion was made to approve SP06-283, Variance to Sign Ordinance No. 704-B for Subway to
be located at 1101 East Northwest Parkway, Suite 112, limiting the letter size to 24 inches.

Second: Terrell
Ayes: Hill, Jones, Morris, Muzyka, Stansell, Terrell, Wambsganss
Nays: None
Approved: 7-0
Agenda Item No.5. Mayor Wambsganss adjourned the special meeting at 10:35 p.m.
