MINUTES
CITY COUNCIL PRESENT: Mayor Andy Wambsganss, Mayor Pro Tern Keith Shankland,
Deputy Mayor Pro Tem Carolyn Morris, and Councilmembers: Laura K. Hill, Gregory Jones,
Virginia M. Muzyka, and John Terrell.
CITY COUNCIL ABSENT: None.
STAFF PRESENT: City Manager Shana Yelverton, Interim Deputy City Manager Chuck
Kiefer, Assistant to the City Manager Ben Thatcher, Executive Secretary/Office Manager Kim
Bush, and City Secretary Lori Farwell.
Agenda Item No. 1. Opening comments. Mayor Wambsganss called the meeting to order at 8:35
a.m. He introduced David Eisenlohr of MAXIMUS who served as the facilitator of this strategic
planning session.
Agenda Item No.2. Discussion: Citv Council strategic olanning with MAXIMUS. Mr. Eisenlohr
led the Council in a discussion regarding their mission, vision, and values for Southlake.
Next, the Council discussed community differentiators and evidence of success followed by
emerging trends, obstacles, and enablers.
Agenda Item No.3. Adiournment. The first day of the strategic planning workshop was
adjourned at 3:55 p.m.
