Members: W. Ralph Evans and Andy Wambsganss COUNCILMEMBERS ABSENT: Councilmembers Jerry Farrier, Stephen Apple, and Jon Michael Franks. CITY STAFF PRESENT: Curtis Hawk, City Manager, and City Secretary, Sandra L. LeGrand. The Special City Council meeting was called to order at 6:15 p.m., by Mayor Gary Fickes. Agenda Item #2, Resolution No. 93 - 62, Canvassing Special Election. Resolution No. 93 -62, all matters incident and related to the canvassing of returns and declaring the results of the Special Election held on November 2, 1993, was read aloud by Mayor Fickes. The resolution recorded that 1,004 votes were cast during the election. The number of ballots cast in favor of the one -half of one percent sales and use tax for the use of parks and related projects were 701. The ballots cast against the proposition were 303. Motion was made to approve Resolution No. 93 -62, official canvass of the November 2, 1993, Special Election. Motion: Emerson Second: Evans Ayes: Emerson, Evans, Wambsganss, Fickes Nays: None Approved: 4 -0 vote Agenda Item #3, Resolution No. 93 -65, Imposing Tax for Benefit of Southlake Parks Development Corporation. Resolution No. 93 -65, to determine whether or not to impose a one - half of one percent sales and use tax for the benefit of the Southlake Parks Development Corporation, and instructing the City Secretary to forward this resolution to the State Comptroller, was discussed.
