SOUTHLAKE ARTS COUNCIL PRESENT: Chair Tamara McMillan, Secretary Julie Doyle, and Southlake Arts Council members Alison Viktorin, Susan Steinbrecher, Tim Sabo, Terri Messing, and Milan Georgia (Alt 1) SOUTHLAKE ARTS COUNCIL ABSENT: Vice Chair Leslie Walker STAFF PRESENT: Community Services Business Manager Milenka Lopez and Public Works Interim Director Lauren LaNeave. CITY COUNCIL MEMBER PRESENT: NA REGULAR SESSION 1. CALL TO ORDER Southlake Arts Council Chair Tamara McMillan called the meeting to order at 6:00 P.M. 2. CONSENT AGENDA 2A. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FROM THE MARCH 25, 2025, SOUTHLAKE ARTS COUNCIL MEETING Chair Tamara McMillan presented item 2A, approval of the minutes from the March 25, 2025, Southlake Arts Council meeting. APPROVED A motion was made to approve the minutes from the March 25, 2025, Southlake Arts Council meeting as presented. Motion: Doyle Second: Viktorin Ayes: Sabo, Doyle, Messing, Viktorin, Steinbrecher, McMillan, Alt. PUBLIC FORUM Chair McMillan opened the Public Forum at 6:01 P.M. There being no one to speak, the Public Forum was closed at 6:01 P.M. 4. DISCUSSION 4A. DPS WEST DEDICATION CEREMONY RECAP Community Services Business Manager Milenka Lopez presented Item 4A, providing a recap of the DPS West Dedication Ceremony. Members of the Southlake Arts Council shared their reflections on the event. Milenka Lopez was available to answer any questions. Direction to Staff: The Southlake Arts Council requested staff to double-check that the installed lighting properly illuminates the art piece at night. 4B. SOUTHLAKE PRESENTS PREPARATION Southlake Arts Council Chair Tamara McMillan presented Item 4B and shared that the art installation is scheduled for May 2, 2025, at 9:30 AM. Community Services Business Manager Milenka Lopez was available to answer questions. Direction to Staff: NA 4C. PUBLIC WORKS MUNICIPAL SERVICE CENTER DISCUSSION Community Services Business Manager Milenka Lopez and Public Works Interim Director Lauren LaNeave presented Item 4C. The Southlake Arts Council discussed the public art options for the Public Works Municipal Service Center and instructed staff to begin on the Call to Artist. Direction to Staff: Southlake Arts Council Chair Tamara McMillan directed staff to bring the initial Call to Artist draft to the next meeting. 4D. PUBLIC ARTS UPDATE Community Services Business Manager Milenka Lopez provided an update on the Public Art Program and was available to answer questions.
