The purpose of the Special City
Council meeting was to officially
canvass the ballots of the April 2,198
Municipal Election.
Latta X Resolution 83-8 was approved by
Loris x x unanimous vote.
Westerholm x
McCombs x x The resolution states that as a result
of the Municipal Election, Johnny
Westerholm will serve as Councilman
Place 1, until April 1985. Lloyd
Latta, will serve as Councilman
Place 2, until April 1985, and
Sam Sparger will serve another term
as Mayor until 1985.
There being no further business, the
meeting was adjourned by Mayor Sparge .

On this the 1 day of f 19 L , the City Council/Commission
of the City of S_ c_Z ~ 444 4' , Texas, convened in Special session open to the
public at the regular meeting place thereof with the following members present, to-wit:
Sam Sparger
Mayor,
Lloyd 0. Latta Jr.
Alderman/Councilmember
Johnny H. Westerholm
Alderman/Councilmember
Bruce McCombs , Alderman/Councilmember
Tom Loris , Alderman/Councilmember
Alderman/Councilmember
Sandra L. LeGrand City Secretary/Clerk
and the following absent: Marion Bone constituting a quorum, and among
other proceedings had were the following :
Alderman/Councilmember Tom Loris introduced a resolution and order
and moved its adoption. The motion was seconded by Bruce McCombs
and the motion carrying with it the adoption of the resolution and order prevailed by the following vote,
AYES: Latta, Loris, McCombs, Westerholm
NOES: 0
The resolution is as follows :
There came on to be considered the returns of an elcction held on the 2 day of April 19__B3
for the purpose of electing the hereinafter named officials, and it appearing from said returns, duly and
legally made, that there were cast at said election 279 valid and legal votes; that each of the
candidates in said election received the following votes :

That said election was duly called ; that notice of said election was given in accordance with law, and that
said election was held in accordance with law, and that Sam Sparger
was duly
elected Mayor of said City at said election and Johnny Westerholm was duly elected place 1
Councilperson,
were duly elected Aldermen/Councilmembers of said City at said election, and that I-1 nyd
was duly elected _ CnijncJ 1 per,on Place 2
and said above named parties are hereby declared duly elected to said respective offices, subject to the
taking of their oaths and filing bond as provided by the laws of the State of Texas.
It is further found and determined that in accordance with the order of this governing body the
Secretary/Clerk posted written notice of the date, place and subject of this meeting on the bulletin board
located in the City Hall, a place convenient and readily accessible to the general public, and said notice having
been so posted and remaining posted continuously for at least 72 hours preceding the scheduled time of
said meeting. A copy of the return of said posting shall be attached to the minutes of this meeting and shall
be made a part thereof for all intents and purposes.
