1. CALL TO ORDER
Chair Magdalena Battles called the regular Parks and Recreation Board meeting to order
at 6:00 p.m.
2. CONSENT AGENDA
2A. APPROVE MINUTES FROM THE PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD MEETING
HELD FEBRUARY 10, 2025
The minutes of the February 10, 2025, Parks and Recreation Board meeting were
approved with no changes or corrections.
Consent Agenda items are considered to be routine and are enacted with one motion by
the Board.
APPROVED
A motion was made to approve the Consent items, including the minutes of the Park
Board meeting held on February 10, 2025.

3. PUBLIC FORUM

Chair Battles opened Public Forum at 6:01 p.m. There being no one to speak, Chair
Battles closed Public Forum at 6:01 p.m.
4. DISCUSSION
4A. TOWN HALL PLAZA PARK — NEXT STEPS
Director of Community Services David Miller provided an overview of the City Council's
decision on the Town Hall Plaza Park and outlined the next steps in the project. He was
also available to answer questions.
4B. PUBLIC ART OVERVIEW
Business Manager of Community Services Milenka Lopez provided an overview of the
Southlake Public Art Program and an update on the new art installation at the DPS
West Facility. She was also available to answer questions.
4C. PARKS AND PUBLIC ART TOUR
Director of Community Services David Miller presented Item 4C, and the Parks and
Recreation Board decided to take the Parks and Public Art Tour during their meeting on
May 12, 2025.
4C. PARKS AND RECREATION BOARD UPDATE
Deputy Director of Community Services Fince Espinoza provided an update to the Parks
and Recreation Board on the DFW Parks and Recreation Directors Association awards
presented to Champions Club Operations Manager Amy Bennett and Recreation
Programs Manager Jennifer Blackstock. Fince also gave an update on current parks
projects and was available to answer questions.
5. ADJOURNMENT
Chair Magdalena Battles adjourned the meeting at 7:34 p.m.
