The meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 25, 2021 at Champions Club Hall of Fame

Regular Agenda:
1. Agenda Item No. 1. Call To Order
2. Agenda Item No. 2. Public Forum
This is the public's opportunity to address the Arts Council about non -agenda items.
During Public Forum, the Arts Council will not discuss or take action on any item brought
up at this time. Southlake Arts Council respectfully asks anyone speaking during Public
Forum to limit remarks to three minutes or less.
3. Aaenda Item No. 3. Consent
A. Aooroval of the minutes from the Aoril 27. 2021 Southlake Arts Council
meeting - Please make any corrections to the minutes part of the motion for
consideration.
4. Agenda Item No. 4. Consider
A. Consider cancellation of the July Southlake Arts Council meeting - The purpose of
this item is to allow the Arts Council an opportunity to discuss and consider
canceling the July 27th regular meeting. Arts Council has cancelled previous July
meetings, following the lead of City Council and other Boards and Commissions.

5. Agenda Item No. 5. Discussion
A. Bob Jones Art Update- This item allows for an update on the Bob Jones Art. No
packet document.

B. Park Village Art Update- This item allows for an update on the time frame for the
Park Village Art. No packet document.
C. ARIA Sound System Update- This item allows for an update on the state of the
current sound system. No packet document.
D. Stars and Stripes Coloring Station- This item allows for an update on the
Southlake Arts Council participation in the Stars & Stripes event. No packet
document.
E. Historical Society Art Plaque Write-ups- This item allows for the discussion of the
proposed verbiage from the Historical Society to be included on art plaques,
specifically the new Jones Memorial piece to be installed in Bob Jones park. No
packet document.
F. Agreement with Historical Society- This item allows for the discussion on
renewing the Public Art Display Agreement between the Southlake Historical
Society and the City. No packet document.
G. Southlake ART Talent- This item allows for the discussion of a proposed art
exhibit highlighting Southlake Artists in Town Hall. No packet document.
H. Public Arts Tour- This item allows for a discussion on the possibility of offering a
public art tour. No packet document.
FY 2022 Budget- This item allows for the discussion of the proposed FY 2022
Public Art Budget. No packet document.
Fall Exhibit- This item allows for a discussion on the Fall Exhibit. No packet

Southlake Arts Council Chair Tamara McMillan called the meeting to order at
6:03p.m.

Chair Tamara McMillan opened the Public Forum at 6:03 p.m. There being no one
present to address the Arts Council, the Public Forum was closed at 6.03 p.m.

4. DISCUSSION
4A. BOB JONES ART UPDATE
Community Relations Manager Vicky Schiber presented the Bob Jones Art
update to the Arts Council and was available to answer questions.
Direction to Staff: Provide details of the unveiling event to Arts Council when they
are available.
4B. PARK VILLAGE ART STAFF UPDATE
Community Relations Manager Vicky Schiber presented the Park Village Art staff
update to the Arts Council and was available to answer questions.
Direction to Staff: Inform the Arts Council when the artist will be in town in the
future.
4C. SIGNAGE FOR PRAIRIE WINDS AND BOB JONES MEMORIAL
Community Relations Manager Vicky Schiber presented the update on the
signage for Prairie Winds and Bob Jones Memorial to the Arts Council and was
available to answer questions.
Direction to Staff: Ensure the Bob Jones signage is ready for the dedication event.

4D. ARIA- ARTS COUNCIL SOUND SYSTEM- STAFF UPDATE
Community Relations Manager Vicky Schiber provided an update to the Arts
Council regarding item 4D and was available to answer questions.
Direction to Staff: None
4E. ARTIST JD MILLER AND THE FALL EXHIBIT
APEX Arts League Chair Terri Messing presented item 4E for discussion and
was available to answer questions.
Direction to Staff: Inquire about a list of back up artists.
4F. APEX ARTS LEAGUE UPDATE
APEX Arts League Chair Terri Messing presented an APEX performance update
to the Arts Council and was available to answer questions.
Direction to Staff: Ask Director Tribble about utilizing DPS North for a film series.
