1. Agenda Item No. 2A. Consent: Approval of the minutes from the August 26, 2014
regular Southlake Arts Council meeting – Please make any corrections to the
minutes part of the motion.
2. Agenda Item No. 3A. Consider: Cancel or Reschedule November 25 and December
23 Meetings – Thanksgiving and Christmas fall the same week as the regular
Southlake Arts Council meetings this year. The Arts Council may wish to cancel,
reschedule or combine the meetings that are scheduled for November 25 and
December 23.
3. Agenda Item No. 4A. Discussion: A Celebration of the Arts and Sports Reception
and Exhibit September 7, 2014 – This item is placed on the agenda to allow the Arts
Council to discuss and critique the art show reception held Sunday, September 7,
2014. There are no packet documents for this item.
4. Agenda Item No. 4B. Discussion: Strokes of Art in the Square Reception and Exhibit
February 22, 2015 – This item is placed on the agenda to allow the Arts Council to
discuss and plan the upcoming event. There are no packet documents for this item.
5. Agenda Item No. 4C. Discussion: Public Art Website Enhancements – Staff will lead
Arts Council in a discussion of possible enhancements to the City’s public art
website. There are no packet documents for this item.
6. Agenda Item No. 4D. Discussion: Future Public Art Opportunities – This is a
standing item allowing the Arts Council to discuss and brainstorm upcoming
opportunities for public art. There are no packet documents for this item.

3. CONSIDER
3A. RECOMMENDATION ON PERMIT TO ALLOW THE SISTER CITIES
INTERNATIONAL YOUNG ARTISTS AND AUTHORS SHOWCASE EXHIBIT
JANUARY 12, 2015 THROUGH FEBRUARY 16, 2015 IN SOUTHLAKE TOWN
HALL LOBBY
Director Tribble presented the permit from Southlake Sister Cities to host the
Sister Cities International Young Artists and Authors Showcase in the Town Hall
lobby from January–February 2015. The Arts Council discussed the permit and
recommended changing the dates of the exhibit from January 12, 2015 through
February 16, 2015 to January 6, 2015 through February 6, 2015 to accommodate
another City event scheduled the weekend of February 16.

A motion was made to recommend City Council approve the permit from
Southlake Sister Cities for the exhibit January 6, 2015 through February 6, 2015.

Director Tribble led the discussion concerning the September 7, 2014 reception
and exhibit. The Southlake Arts Council discussed the reception and exhibit and
confirmed assignments and details.
4B. FUTURE PUBLIC ART OPPORTUNITIES
This item will be discussed at the next meeting.
5. PUBLIC FORUM
No one was present to address the Arts Council during Public Forum.
