The minutes of the February 21,1984 city council meeting were approved as presented. i INVOCATION; Loyd Eubanks. s 4 MAYORS REPORT: Mayor Sparger signed a Proclamation, proclaiming March 11-17 as Girl Scout Week in Southlake. Mayor Pro Tem Latta gave a report concerning a back up power supply for telephone lines and also emergency lights in the dispatch and jail areas of the police ( s department. i f He also reported on a dinner he I attended, given by General Telephone F Company in which Johnny Westerholm and Sandy LeGrand also attended. GTE will be requesting a rate increas in the near future. Phillip Bressnick, from Henry S. Miller Company came before Council concerning the Wolf's Club property and their desire to purchase the land and develop into a shopping 4 center. Southlake indicated they would work with the developers and also the City of Grapevine, in development of the land. Engineer, Eddie Cheatham, gave a reca ATER on the progress made concerning our SYSTEM water system expansion project. EXPANSION He indicated our contract with the PROGRESS City of Fort Worth will go before REPORT their Council within the next two weeks. Cheatham discussed a meeting which was held last week with representatives I from City of Fort Worth, City of Keller, City of Roanoke, City of Grapevine, Hunt Ranch and City of Westlake. City of Keller indicated they would b passing a resolution stating their participation in our new water line which will run through Keller. As an interim solution, City of Keller has agreed to pass water from Fort i Worth through the City of Keller water system to Southlake. Agenda items #3 and #4 were omitted from the agenda. ZA 84-8. The request for zoning ZA 84-8 change for a 4.47 acre tract of land ZONING out of the Francis Throop Survey, APPROVED Abstract 1511, was discussed in TO LT. public hearing. A policy was discussed for the use of the city council chambers by POLICY citizens of Southlake.
