Members Absent: Board members: David Treichler—Vice Chairman, Trey Verbick - Place 3, Jennifer Gatz—Alternate 1, Frank Bernando—Alternate 2, and Al Karmali —Alternate 4. Staff Present: Jennifer Crosby, Deputy Director of Planning, Wayne Powell, Principal Planner and Denia Reyes, Board Secretary. REGULAR SESSION: 1. Call to Order: Chairman Medici called the Regular Session to order at 6:30 P.M. 2. Executive Session: No executive session was held. 3.Approval of the Minutes: Chairman Medici opened the discussion of the minutes of the Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting for October 10th, 2024. A motion was made to approve the minutes of the Zoning Board of Adjustment for meetings October 10th, 2024. Motion: Snead Second: King Ayes: Snead, King, Vemulapalli, Medici Nays: None Abstain: None Vote: 4-0-0 Motion: Approved 4. Administrative Comments: Jennifer Crosby, Deputy Director of Planning, announced that there will be no meetings in November 2024. 5. Consider: ZBA24-0009, Variance to Zoning Ordinance No. 480, as amended, Section requiring a side yard of 20 (twenty) feet, on property described as Lot 36, Block 1, Whispering Dell Estates, an Addition to the City of Southlake, Tarrant County, Texas, and located at 1200 Whispering Lane. PUBLIC HEARING Zoning Board of Adjustment Meeting Minutes—October 24th, 2024 Page 1 of 2 Principal Planner Wayne Powell presented details of the case with a slide show presentation to the Board. The applicant Teresa Proietti is requesting approval of a variance to Zoning Ordinance No. 480, as amended, Section 11.5(c), requiring a side yard of 20 (twenty) feet, on property. The existing house was built approximately 17.8' from the property line, and the request is to maintain this 17.8' setback to enable the construction of a second story on the home. Teresa Proietti once sworn in, presented testimony, and answered questions from the Board. Chairman Medici asked if there were those in the audience who wished to speak in support of the request. s There being none, Chairman Medici asked if there were those in the audience who wished to speak in opposition to the request. There being none, Chairman Medici closed the public hearing and opened the item for discussion from the Board. A motion was made to approve case ZBA24-0009 Motion: Vemulapalli Second: Snead Ayes: King, Vemulapalli, Snead, Medici Nays: None Abstain: None Vote:4-0-0 Motion: Approved 7.
