Item 9A - Demonstration and PlansZQ% SOUTHLAKE PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT SERVICES SIGN VARIANCE APPLICATION Demonstration Please demonstrate that the following conditions are applicable to the requested sign variance: That a literal enforcement of the sign regulation will create an unnecessary hardship or practical difficulty on the applicant. The proposed signs are needed as customers have a difficult time identifying which point of entry to use from the parking lot, as there is currently no adequate location to place a legible sign (from parking lot), business would like to use signs to identify point of entry for their suites with out having to change the architectural design of the area. ?. That the situation causing the unnecessary hardship or practical difficulty is unique to the affected property and is not self imposed. The architectural design of the building limits both site lines and available sign space for identifying points of entry to customers. That the variance will not injure and will be wholly compatible with the use and permitted development of adjacent properties. The sign lettering and sizes are proportional to the building. The Lusso Labs/Minerva Labs signs are designed to promote a unique and proportional image that should be compatible with the adjacent properties. 4. That the variance will be in harmony with the spirit and purpose of the sign ordinance.
