This is the public's opportunity to address the Arts Council about non -agenda items.
During Public Forum, the Arts Council will not discuss or take action on any item
brought up at this time.
3. Aclenda Item No. 3. Consider
A. Approval of the minutes from the June 25, 2019 Southlake Arts Council
meeting — Please make any corrections to the minutes part of the motion for
consideration.
B. Recommendation on Art for the Fall Art Exhibit — The purpose of this item is
to approve images for the Fall Art Exhibit. Artist Farah Janjua has prepared
two gallery options for consideration. Gallery access has been emailed to all
members. There are no packet documents.
5. Agenda Item No. 5. Discussion
A. APEX Report — This item allows for an update on APEX events and activities.
No packet document.
B. Public Art Update — Staff will provide an update about projects within the City.
This is an opportunity for Arts Council to discuss the upcoming art exhibits.

Southlake Arts Council Chairman Leslie Bartlett called the meeting to order at
6:00 p.m.
2. PUBLIC FORUM
Chair Leslie Bartlett opened the Public Forum at 6:00 p.m. There being no one
wishing to address the Arts Council, the Public Forum was closed.

4A. RECOMMENDATION ON PROPOSED FY2020 PUBLIC ART FUND BUDGET
Staff liaison, Cassie Tucker, presented the proposed FY2020 public art fund
budget. The proposed budget mirrored the FY2019 budget with no changes in
funding to programing or contracts.

4B. PERMITS FOR FY2020 ART GALLERY EXHIBITS AND RECEPTIONS
Staff liaioson, Cassie Tucker, presented the proposed FY2020 Art Gallery
Receptions. Receptions include the Annual Fall Art Exhibit, a potential Sister
Cities exhibit for Young Authors and Artists Showcase, the Art in the Square
exhibit and the summer Southlake Historical Society Exhibit. For the exhibits
funded by the Southlake Public Art Fund, $2,000 is budgeted for the reception.

Tamara McMillan presented the APEX report. She noted there will be a film on
JUly 19th featuring Young Picasso. It is a partner program with the Library and will
be from 6pm — 8pm.
5B. PUBLIC ART UPDATE
Strategic Operations Manager and Arts Council liaison Cassie Tucker presented
a staff report and answered questions. Discussion topics included:
• The City Council future consideration of term limits for boards
• Fall Art Exhibit — Artist Farah Janjua has agreed to partner. Art will be
reviewed at the August meeting.
