SIGN VARIANCE APPLICATION
Demonstration
Please demonstrate that the following conditions are applicable to the requested sign variance:
That a literal enforcement of the sign regulation will create an unnecessary hardship or practical
difficulty on the applicant.
GMI branding imaging is designed to promote a proportional image that should be compatible with
the adjacent properties. The wall sign is needed as the existing monument does not provide adequate
visibility from crooked lane.
?. That the situation causing the unnecessary hardship or practical difficulty is unique to the affected
property and is not self imposed.
The proposed signage is more complex and proportional to the building. It is designed to promote
visibility to the public. GMI has no other visibility other than the front elevation from crooked lane.
That the variance will not injure and will be wholly compatible with the use and permitted
development of adjacent properties.
None whatsoever, all changes made will only further beautify this development. This size should not
affect any public development.
4. That the variance will be in harmony with the spirit and purpose of the sign ordinance.
The intent of the proposed sign will only enhance the property in a positive form allowing further
business and identification to the public. The sign is relatively small versus the size of the building
elevation. The larger letter height is needed so the sign can be read from crooked lane.
