As a community, we are deeply concerned about the impact this development could have on the safety, quality of life, and overall well-being of our neighborhood. I would like to highlight several critical issues that demand attention: 1. Traffic Safety Concerns:Tragically,our community recently suffered the loss of a child due to heavy traffic. The addition of a high-density development on Davis Blvd will only increase traffic volume and make the area even more dangerous for our children. Many families in our neighborhood have young children, and we cannot risk another life. The additional vehicles from residents,visitors, and service providers at the senior community would intensify these risks. 2. Privacy Issues and Quality of Life: The planned multi-unit buildings could mean 15 to 20 households overlooking our backyards, creating a severe privacy intrusion for families who value the peaceful, secluded nature of our neighborhood. Noise, Congestion, and Light Pollution: Our neighborhood is not suited for the influx of noise, parking congestion, and light pollution that this project would bring. Increased traffic, both from residents and from visitors, will result in constant noise and safety risks along our residential streets. We fear our children will lose the ability to play outside safely and that the quiet, peaceful atmosphere we currently enjoy will be permanently disrupted. 5. Property Value and Community Character: The addition of a high-density senior housing complex adjacent to our single- family homes will likely impact property values negatively, as the development is out of character with our low-density, family- oriented neighborhood. Part of why I moved to southlake was because I would not be living next to an apartment building which essentially this represents in terms of impact on southlake infrastructure.And then there is the eye soar of it all. Too much and too large. In addition to that we have begun construction on our new home in Stoney Brook and will have this hovering over the house and if I had been informed of this when I purchased the land in April and the builders, Holmes Builders, never disclosed this to us and frankly they were unaware of the project when we entered into the contract to construct the house when clearly forefront had begun plans in a public way to develop the project. Why did we not know,why did our builder not know and therefore not disclose something that would have clearly impacted my decision to purchase a new home in that location. So I am opposed to the construction not to the need for these types of care facilities.
