Call to Order. 2. Executive Session: If a need arises to seek the advice from the City Attorney as to the posted subject matter of this Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting, the issues or matters will be discussed in executive session. a. Pursuant to Section 551.071, Texas Government Code, the Board may meet in executive session to consult with the City Attorney regarding matters authorized by Section 551.071, including matters posted on this agenda. b. Call to Order: Chairman Medici called the Regular Session to order at 6:31 P.M. 2. Executive Session: No executive session was held. 3. Approval of the Minutes: Chairman Medici opened the discussion of the minutes of the Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting for January 16th, 2025 A motion was made to approve the minutes of the Zoning Board of Adjustment for meetings January 16th, 2025. PUBLIC HEARING Planner Wayne Powell presented details of'the case with a slide show presentation to the board. The applicant Barry Reyna, on behalf of Dennis Walsh, is seeking approval for an approximately 4,967 square foot detached garage for car storage. The applicant previously presented two options for consideration —one with the garage on the southwest side of the property and another with the garage on the north side of the property. Following the January 16, 2025, Zoning Board of Adjustment meeting, the applicant has selected the southwest side of the property for the garage location. Zoning Board of Adjustment Meeting Minutes-January 30th, 2025 Page 2 of 3 In addition, the applicant has revised the design to separate the garage from the existing gazebo, to eliminate the encroachment on the 20-foot side yard setback, and to reduce the height of the building by approximately 4 feet. The applicant, Barry Reyna and homeowner Dennis Walsh, once sworn in, presented testimony, and answered questions from the Board. Chairman Medici asked if there were those in the audience who wished to speak in support of the request. There being none, Chairman Medici asked if there were those in the audience who wished to speak in opposition to the request. There being none, Chairman Medici closed the public hearing and opened the item for discussion from the Board. A motion was made to approve case ZBA24-0011 Motion: Bemardo Second: Snead Ayes: Bernardo, Vemulapalli, Snead, Medici Nays: None Abstain:None Vote:4-0-0 Motion: Approved 7.
