1. Call to Order — The meeting was called to order at 4:17 P.M. by Srishthi Das.
2. Consent
A. Approve the minutes from the Southlake Youth Action Commission
meeting held October 14, 2024
Allison Bedwell presented item 2A for SYAC consideration and
Community Relations Manager Vicky Schiber was available to answer
questions.

A motion was made to approve the minutes from the Southlake Youth
Action Commission meeting held on October 14, 2024.

Board Retreat held October 14, 2024
Srishthi Das presented item 2B for SYAC consideration and
Community Relations Manager Vicky Schiber was available to answer
questions. Alternate Serena Tusneem voted as an alternate.

A motion was made to approve the minutes from the Southlake Youth
Action Commission Board Retreat held on October 14, 2024.

B. Election of the SYAC Chair, Vice Chair, and Secretary
Maya Perera presented the Election of the Chair, Vice -Chair, and
Secretary. The Commission nominated Allison Bedwell as Chair, Maya
Perera as Vice -Chair, and William Zhang as Secretary.

A motion was made to approve the nomination of Chair, Vice -Chair, and
Secretary.

4. Discussion
A. Adopt -A -Street Date Selection -
Allison Bedwell presented a discussion about selecting dates for
Adopt -A -Street. The commission chose November 18, 2024, and
December 02, 2024, and will decide on two more in the Spring.

B. Pickleball: From Citizen Request to Realization with the Community
Services Leadership -
Director of Community Services David Miller, Deputy Director of
Community Services Fince Espinoza, and Pickleball Manager Eric
Clay led the discussion on how the Southlake Pickleball Complex
came to be in Southlake.
Direction to Staff — None
C. Southlake Pickleball Complex Tour and Pickleball Play Time
Pickleball Manager Eric Clay and Deputy Director of Community
Services Fince Espinoza toured the Commission through the
Southlake Pickleball Complex, and the Commission participated in
Pickleball games.
Direction to Staff - None
5. Adjournment — Community Relations Manager Vicky Schiber adjourned the
meeting at 5.17 P.M.
