WORK SESSION:
1. CALL TO ORDER: 6:00 P.M. or immediately following the Planning and Zoning Commission
meeting.
2. Executive Session: Pursuant to the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code,
Sections 551.071. Refer to posted list attached hereto and incorporate herein. Executive Session
may be held, under these exceptions, at the end of the Regular Session or at any time during
the meeting that a need arises for the Planning and Zoning Commission to seek advice from
the City Attorney as to the posted subject matter of this Planning and Zoning Commission
meeting. Section 551.071: Consultation with attorney.
B. Reconvene: Action necessary on items discussed in Executive Session.
1. Recap and discussion of City Council actions.
2. Discussion of all items on tonight’s meeting agenda.
3. Adjournment.

5. CONSIDER: APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FROM THE AUGUST 22, 2024, SIGN BOARD
MEETING.
A motion was made to approve Item 5 on the agenda as presented.

6. Consider: SV24-0006, Sign Variances for Tommy’s Express Car Wash, located
at 101 N. Pearson Lane, Southlake, Texas.
Deputy Director of Planning and Development Services Jennifer Crosby provided a formal
presentation of Item 6 per Chairman Kubiak’s request. No questions were asked.
Applicant, Mike Roseberry, 8585 Clay Higgins Road, Keller, TX, came forward. Questions
were asked.
A motion was made to approve Item 6, SV24-0006 subject to Staff Report dated September
13th, 2024, with the provision that the applicant bring a revised version of option 2 where the
East and the West signs are comparable to the South side building sign presently, the
monument sign should have lighted address indicated on it, the monument sign with no
variances and present it as And there will be no signs for the vacuum and drive through areas,
show an alternative version with no signs on the vacuum

That the west and east facing sign will be reduced in size not necessarily equal to the southern
sign

7. Consider: SV24-0008, Variance to the Master Sign Plan for Southlake Town Square for
Tommy Bahama, located at 160 State Street, Southlake, Texas.
Deputy Director of Planning and Development Services, Jennifer Crosby provided a formal
presentation of Item 7 per Chairman Kubiak’s request. Questions were asked.
Applicant, Cheryl, Tommy Bahama, Seattle, WA, came forward. No questions were asked.
A motion was made to approve Item 7, SV24-0008 subject to the Staff Report dated
September 13th, 2024, denying the South Side Mural and approve the West lower portion of
the building as approved by the Arts Council.

8. Consider: SV24-0010, Variance to the Master Sign Plan for Southlake Town Square for
Sweet Paris Creperie & Café, located at 228 State Street, Southlake, Texas.
Deputy Director of Planning and Development Services, Jennifer Crosby provided a formal
presentation of Item 8 per Chairman Kubiak’s request. Questions were asked.
Applicant, John, 3629 Weyburn, Dallas came forward. Questions were asked.
A motion was made to approve Item 8, SV24-0010 subject to the Staff Report dated September
13th, 2024, accepting sign E as presented and showing the applicant willingness to add
Southlake onto the sign, on sign D applicant to present smaller letter size.
