Item 10 - Demonstration and Plans 2340 Shepler Church Ave. Canton, OH 44706 949.683.8768 SIGN VARIANCE NARRATIVE FOR Flower Child Southlake Town Square – Southlake, TX Flower Child has worked very diligently for months w/ the LL (Kite Realty Group) on the proposed signage for this location. The current R05 sign package was reviewed and approved by them. We feel that the wall fascia signs proposed on the front and rear (north and south) are consistent w/ the design of the sign code and center master sign plan. Flower Child is on the corner building so has visibility to Main Street, Southlake Blvd, as well as N. Carroll Ave. The illumination is consistent w/ their national branding but also is in line w/ the center master sign plan. The proposal also includes the projecting “Feature” sign. This is consistent w/ the previous tenant and will help to draw vehicle and pedestrian visibility to their location. Flower Child is not requesting signage that create an unfair advantage to them vs. the surrounding development and tenants. Overall, this exterior building design and proposed signage is consistent w/ their national branding which is very important when establishing new identities in new markets. 1239 Main Street Flower Child, Mural Narrative At Flower Child, our philosophy centers on healthfulness, freshness, and the goodness that comes from nourishing both body and soul. Lemons, a vibrant symbol of vitality and renewal, perfectly capture the essence of our restaurant’s values. The exterior mural featuring an abundance of lemons serves as a visual homage to the purity and simplicity found in nature. Lemons, known for their refreshing qualities and health benefits, mirror our commitment to providing food that not only tastes good but also makes you feel good. Their bright, sunny color embodies the joy and optimism we strive to create in every meal, while their tangy flavor represents the bold, zestful approach we take in crafting our dishes. By painting this mural, we invite our guests to experience the vibrancy of fresh ingredients, the natural beauty of wholesome living, and the burst of energy from eating food made with care. It’s more than just lemons on a wall—it reflects Flower Child’s belief that wellness and happiness are cultivated through the little things, like a squeeze of lemon to brighten the day. The muralist we’re working with is highly respected and has created pieces for major global brands nationwide. He’s also Fox Restaurant Concepts’ go-to artist, contributing to over 40 of our current restaurants. His work is known for its durability and timeless appeal, which are applied with great care to ensure they last. This mural will not only be a true reflection of the Flower Child brand but is also designed to become an iconic feature of the development, attracting attention for years to come. The mural will be implemented based on the previously provided artwork, using premium-quality preparation materials, primers, and paints, all specifically chosen for their durability and ability to maintain lasting visual appeal.
