In Attendance: Councilmember Ronell Smith (Southlake), Vice -Chair Devika Seth (Southlake), Councilmember Tag
Green (Keller), Rebecca Tovar (Keller), Sayeda Sayed (Colleyville), Susan Baum (Colleyville), Chair Marjorie Lewis
(Grapevine), and Kevin Sellers (Grapevine).
Absent: Kara Carreras (Southlake), Councilmember Leon Leal (Grapevine)
REGULAR SESSION:
Call to order at 5:46 by Marjorie Lewis
REPORTS:
2. Administrative Comments (Staff):
Teen Court staff gave a presentation regarding final FY24 referral information and presented FY25 budget.
Motion made by Sayeda Sayed to recommend that the members take the following issue to their respective city
councils for review: Discuss how refunds, in the event of a surplus, should be returned to cities. Seconded by
Devika Seth. The motion failed with 1 vote in favor and 7 against.
CONSENTAGENDA:
3. Approval of Minutes from September 9, 2024 Meeting.
Motion to approve made by Sayeda Sayed and seconded by Ronell White. Unanimous approval by board.
REGULAR AGENDA:
4. Action: Appoint Teen Court Advisory Board Chair and Vice -Chair for FY25
Motion made by Devika Seth and seconded by Susan Baum to re -appoint Marjorie Lewis as Chair. Motion
passed unanimously. Motion made by Sayeda Sayed and seconded by Rebecca Tovar to re -appoint Devika
Seth as Vice -Chair. Motion passed unanimously.
5. Update: Dates to Remember
Teen Court Holiday lunch will be on December 9 from 12:00-2:00pm. Next Teen Court advisory board meeting
will be on January 13, 2025.
6. Public Forum: There was no public present at this time.
7. Meeting adjourned at 6:44pm Motion to adjourn was made by Marjorie Lewis and seconded by Rebecca
Tovar.
