2024-09-10 SAC MinutesSenior Advisory Commission Meeting Minutes for September 10, 2024 CITY OF SOUTHLAKE SENIOR ADVISORY COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES: September 10, 2024 LOCATION: THE MARQ SOUTHLAKE Legends Hall — Board Room 285 Shady Oaks Drive Southlake, Texas 76092 Members Present: Chair MaryLee Alford, Vice Chair Greta Schumacher, and SAC members Bernadette MacDermott, Brent Mcllvain, William Meddings, Julie Walters Commission Members Absent: N/A Staff Members Present: Deputy Director of Community Services Ryan McGrail, Hospitality and Sales Manager of Legends Hall at The Marq Southlake Crystal Maddalena, Senior Services Coordinator Soheila Mashat-Phelps, Community Relations Manager Vicky Schiber, Champions Club Operations Manager Amy Bennett. 1. CALL TO ORDER Chair MaryLee Alford called the meeting of the Senior Advisory Commission to order at 1:00 P.M. 2. PUBLIC FORUM Chair Alford opened Public Forum at 1:00 P.M. There being no one to address the Commission, Public Forum was closed at 1:00 P.M. 3. DISCUSSION: (No Vote on Discussion Items) A. Senior Center Marketing Plan Presentation — Vicky Schiber, Community Relations Manager Schiber presented the Marketing Plan and was available to answer questions. SAC members provided feedback. B. Champions Club Update — Amy Bennett, Champions Club Operations Manager Bennett presented the Champions Club Update and was available for questions. 4. CONSENT Consent Agenda items are considered routine by the Commission and are enacted with one motion. A. Approve the minutes from the August 13, 2024, Senior Advisory Commission Meeting Senior Advisory Commission Meeting Minutes for September 10, 2024 Chair Alford presented the Consent Agenda, including approval of the minutes of the August 13, 2024, meeting. Chair Alford asked if there were any revisions to the minutes. Revisions were discussed. /_1»:1e11F/=I97 A motion was made to accept the minutes of August 13, 2024, meeting as revised.
