Mayor McCaskill led the pledges of allegiance to the United States and Texas Flags. 3. LOCAL ENTREPRENEUR SPOTLIGHT: ENRICHIFY Economic Development&Tourism Director Daniel Cortez introduced the Enrichify Team, a web-based application developed by local high school students that assists today's youth in financial education and retirement planning. 4. DISCUSS ALL ITEMS ON TONIGHT'S AGENDA. NO ACTION WILL BE TAKEN AND EACH ITEM WILL BE CONSIDERED DURING THE REGULAR SESSION. CALL TO ORDER Regular Session was called to order by Mayor McCaskill at 5:49pm. 2A. EXECUTIVE SESSION Mayor McCaskill announced the City Council would go into Executive Session pursuant to the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government, Code, Section 551.071 consultation with city attorney; Section 551.074 deliberation regarding personnel matters; and Section 551.087 deliberation regarding economic development negotiations. The City Council adjourned for Executive Session at 5:49pm. Executive Session began at 6:00pm and concluded at 6:40pm. 2B. RECONVENE Mayor McCaskill reconvened the meeting at 6:57pm. 3. REPORTS: 3A. MAYOR'S REPORT Mayor McCaskill expressed his appreciation to everyone that joined the Dragon's First Responders event held on Friday, August 30, 2024, at Dragon Stadium. 3B. CELEBRATE SOUTHLAKE City Manager Alison Ortowski introduced Deputy Director of Economic Development & Tourism Robert Briggs to provide an update on the Celebrate Southlake event.
