Subject: Resolution No. 24-032, authorizing purchases for the 2025
Fiscal Year and authorizing the City Manager to enter contracts
necessary to effectuate said purchases
Action
Requested: Approval of Resolution No. 24-032.
Background
Information: The resolution authorizes purchases for FY 2025 and
authorizes the City Manager to enter contracts for the
approved services, supplies and equipment outlined in
attachment A to the resolution.
The city will follow normal purchasing procedures prior to the
city manager's approval. The following policies and/or
procedures will be followed prior to approval:
• Adherence to the city's purchasing policy
o Approved by Resolution 20-036 on September
15, 2020.
• Adherence to State statue
o Local Government Code 252 — Purchasing and
Contracting Authority of Municipalities
o Local Government Code 271 — Purchasing and
Contracting Authority of Municipalities,
Counties, and Certain other local governments
o Local Government Code 2161 — Historically,
Underutilized Business
o Local Government Code 2254 — Professional
and Consulting Services
o Local Government Code 2269 — Contracting
and Delivery Procedures for Construction
Projects
o Local Government Code 791 — Interlocal
Cooperation Contracts
• Adherence to adopted city budget.

Financial
Considerations: Approval of the Resolution will have no budgetary impact, but
will increase the efficiency of the budget implementation
process. Purchasing procedures will continue in the same
manner as in the past.
