In Attendance: Vice Chair Devika Seth (Southlake), Kara Carreras (Southlake), Katie Giflham (Keller), Rebecca
Tovar(Keller), Sayeda Sayed (Colleyville), Susan Baum (Colleyville), Councilmember Leon Leal (Grapevine), and
Kevin Sellers (Grapevine).
Absent: Councilmember Ronell Smith (Southlake), Chair Marjorie Lewis (Grapevine).
Councilmember Jessica Juarez (Keller) and Councilmember George Bond (Colleyville) have resigned.
REGULAR SESSION:
1. Call to order at 5:45 by Devika Seth
REPORTS:
2. Administrative Comments (Staft):
Teen Court staff gave a presentation regarding referral information. Discussion followed pertaining to budget
and program advertisement.
CONSENT AGENDA:
3. Approval of Minutes from May 6, 2024 Meeting.
Motion to approve made by Sayeda Sayed and seconded by Susan Baum. Unanimous approval by board.
REGULAR AGENDA:
4. Consider: Meeting Dates for FY 2026.
Board unanimously approved upcoming meeting dates: November 4, 2024; January 13, 2025; March 3, 2025;
May 12, 2025; and September 8, 2025.
5. Discussion: Updating Requirements for Teen Court Scholarships.
Board agreed to candidate volunteer requirements of 50 lifetime hours and 24 during senior year.
6. Update: Dates to Remember
Next MTCAB meeting is Monday, November 4, 2024.
7. Public Forum: There was no public present at this time.
