Item 6 - Staff ReportCase No. MSP24-0002 S T A F F R E P O R T August 2nd, 2024 CASE NO: MSP24-0002 PROJECT: Master Sign Plan for 880 S Village Center Dr. – Champions DFW Realty EXECUTIVE SUMMARY: On behalf of Champions DFW Realty LLC, Priority Signs and Graphics is requesting approval of a Master Sign Plan (MSP) for a newly constructed office building located at 880 S Village Center Dr. Southlake, Texas. DETAILS: The applicant is requesting approval of a sign band area for these three sign locations to allow existing or future tenants to change signs without requiring council approval. The proposed sign bands allow for a maximum letter and logo height or 30 inches and allow for upper story sign placement. The proposed signs for the current tenants have 9-inch, 10.5-inch, 17.5- inch logo and 7-inch, 8-inch, and 14-inch letters. The 30-inch logo and letter size is requested to allow flexibility for future tenants. On May 19, 2021; City Council approved a Zoning Change and Site Plan for three (3) 2-story office buildings. (ZA21-0020) On January 16, 2024; City Council approved on consent agenda the Sign Variance request Magnolia Property Company located at 850 S Village Center Dr. for the upper-story sign, push-through raceway sign, as well as variances for the letter height and logo height.
