Item 6 - Demonstration and PlansMaster Signage Plan Application The master signage program application shall include, at a minimum, the following to be deemed a completed application: 1)A master site plan showing the location of each of the proposed signage type(s). Dimension and label the sign types and include distance measurement of the sign location from the nearest public right-of way. Please reference provided design proof that includes site map and dimensions from public rights-of-way. • Sign “A” facing North towards S Village Center Dr is 46ft from the public right-of-way • Sign “B” and “C” are internally facing 2)Provide signage elevations (dimensioned and labeled) indicating proposed text areas, materials, material finishes, colors, lighting and identifiable references as to how the signage design relates to the proposed architecture. Identify any landscaping elements proposed. Proposed Master Sign Plan seeks approval for “Sign Bands” 130.5” Wide X 30” Tall for two 1st floor suites (Sign bands “B” and “C”) and 158” Wide X 30” Tall for the 2nd floor suite (Sign Band “A”). The proposed signs will be for Quantum suite 140, Champions first floor suite 100, and Champions second floor suite 200. The sign height and width will fit within the sign bands. The sign type and materials will include non- illuminated letters and logos 1” – 2” deep (produced from acrylic and/or metal), Face-lit, Dual- lit or Halo lit Channel letters and logos 2” – 4” deep (produced from acrylic and/or metal). 3)For all signage is to be mounted on building façades, provide accurate building elevations that show signage dimension, signage location, text areas, materials, material finishes, colors and identifiable references as to how the signage design relates to the proposed architecture. See design proof with details on elevations, signage dimensions, locations etc. 4)If the applicant is requesting any variances from the current regulations as part of the master sign plan, please indicate the location of the variance, what the variance request is for and specific reason/justification for the variance and how the variance promotes are adheres to the design goals provided. We propose three sign bands on the building that deviate from current regulations as locations include second floor elevations as noted in the site plan and provide proof that identifies sign locations in relation to the second floor. The proposed sign bands under the current ordinance are not permitted due to location. Proposed sign bands enable electrical access and or penetrations into the first floor while allowing the top signage to extend into second floor elevation. It is necessary to enable signage to extend into the second-floor elevation for uniformity and promote overall visual cohesive with signage scaled appropriately to building elevations.
