Item 11 - Narrative Letter and Exhibits 19003 IH 10 West San Antonio, Texas 78257 February 6, 2024 To: City of Southlake 1400 Main Street Southlake, TX 76092 Project Narrative NuStar is requesting approval of a specific use permit to increase the current approved height of thirty foot telecommunications antenna (ZA17-078 on November 8, 2017) to a fifty foot telecommunications antenna. The proposed project is at the NuStar Southlake Terminal located at 1700 Mustang Court; Southlake, TX 76092. This terminal receives data from the wireless antenna installed at Grapevine terminal. The proposed project is to install an additional 20 feet to the existing tower to improve the wireless communication system between NuStar Southlake and Grapevine terminals. The proposed addition is for commercial use only and does not interfere with other nearby communication systems. All electrical equipment will be located within NuStar facility. The 900MHz communication is essential for NuStar operations redundant communication of corporate data transfer. At the Southlake terminal facility, a UBIQUITI Loco M9 wireless antenna will be mounted and installed to the 50 feet ROHN Tower (Self-supporting). The ROHN tower is compliant with local publications meeting structural design requirements up to 115 MPH wind speed rating. The wireless antenna weighs 2 lbs. and will be mounted at the top of the ROHN communication tower. All development shall comply with the zoning district regulations for “ALL” zoning districts. The lots shall comply with the districts development regulations as outlined in Section 45.7 for Specific Requirements for Telecommunication Towers, Antennas, and Ancillary Building (Ordinance No. 480-W).
