QUIT CLAIM DEED
STATE OF TEXAS KNOW ALL MEN BY THESE PRESENTS:
COUNTY OF TARRANT
That the City Council of the City of Southlake, County of Tarrant, State of Texas, after careful
study and consideration, has determined that certain 0.016 acre tract out of the Mary Freeman
Survey, Abstract No. 533, hereinafter specifically described, is not being used by, nor useful
or convenient to the public in general; therefore, it constitutes a public charge without a
corresponding public benefit, and the public would be better served and benefitted by its
vacation and abandonment. For and in consideration of the above findings and for other good
and valuable consideration, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the
City of Southlake does hereby bargain, sell, release, vacate, abandon and forever quit claim
unto CHARLES W. ASHBY and any and all of his heirs, legal representatives of assigns, all
of its right, title, and interest in and to the following described real property situated in Tarrant
County, Texas, to wit:

TO HAVE AND TO HOLD all of its right, title and interest in and to the above described
0.016 acre tract unto the said Grantee, his heirs and assigns forever, so that neither Grantor nor
its heirs, legal representatives of assigns shall have, claim of demand any right or title to the
aforesaid 0.016 acre tract premises or appurtenances or any part thereof.

follows:
Beginning at a 1/2" iron pin set at the northeast corner of Lot 40R, Block 2 of said Continental Park
Estates;
Thence S 89 ` 34' 2155" E, 12.30 feet to a 1/2" iron pin set;
Thence S 00 ` 25' 05" W, 52.78 feet to the approximate centerline of Bear Creek;
