WORKSHOP:
1. CALL TO ORDER
The Strategic Priority Workshop was called to order by Mayor Pro Tern McCaskill at
5:35 p.m.
2. DISCUSSION: INFRASTRUCTURE & DEVELOPMENT
2A. KEY CAPITAL PROJECTS UPDATE
Public Works Director Rob Cohen provided a status update on key capital projects,
including status, timelines, milestones, and future plans.

2B. ART PROJECT — SOUTHLAKE'S 70TH BIRTHDAY
Community Services Director David Miller discussed a potential project that the
Southlake Arts Council is considering coinciding with Southlake's 70th Birthday.
2C. PARK LAND ACQUISITION STRATEGY
Community Services Director David Miller provided an opportunity to discuss the state's
Centennial Parks Conservation Fund and if there are opportunities to partner with the
state concerning Bob Jones Nature Center and Preserve. The discussion was also a
check -in with the Council on their current vision for the Park Land Disposition &
Acquisition Strategy.
3. DISCUSSION: PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT
3A. ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM RECRUITMENT STRATEGY
Economic Development and Tourism Director Daniel Cortez provided an overview of
current recruitment tools, initiatives, and opportunities within the City's economic
development program.
3B. SUSTAINABILITY PLAN — ECONOMIC & FISCAL WELLNESS ELEMENT
UPDATE
Operations Manager, Special Projects Robert Briggs and Chief Financial Officer Sharen
Jackson provided a discussion regarding the Sustainability Master Plan: Economic &
Fiscal Wellness update. The discussion covered the proposed process and strategic
goals for a planned update to this element.
4. DISCUSSION: PROOF OF PERFORMANCE
4A. 2023 CITIZEN SATISFACTION SURVEY RESULTS
Assistant to the City Manager Major Youngblood provided a high-level overview of the
most recent 2023 Citizen Satisfaction Survey results.
5. DISCUSSION: FOCUS AREAS
5A. SAFETY & SECURITY
Councilmember Smith expressed his appreciation to the Police and Fire departments
for their service.
5B. INFRASTRUCTURE & DEVELOPMENT
Discussion occurred relative to traffic concerns during construction and the Southlake
Racial Profiling Report.
