Work Session was called to order by Mayor Pro Tern Shawn McCaskill at 5:30pm.
2. INVOCATION: CLAYTON REED
Mr. Clayton Reed provided the invocation. Mayor Pro Tern Shawn McCaskill led the
pledges of allegiance to the United States and Texas Flags.
3. HONORS & RECOGNITION: PARKS AND RECREATION AWARDS
Director of Community Services David Miller introduced Community Services Community
Relations Manager Vicky Schiber and Deputy Director Ryan McGrail who highlighted two
awards recently received by the Department.
4. RECOGNITION OF CITY MANAGER SHANA YELVERTON
The City Council and staff recognized City Manager Shana Yelverton's 30-year career
with Southlake and congratulated her on her upcoming retirement.

Regular Session was called to order by Mayor Pro Tern Shawn McCaskill at 6:27pm.
2A. EXECUTIVE SESSION
Mayor Pro Tern Shawn McCaskill announced the City Council would go into Executive
Session pursuant to the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code,
Section 551.071 consultation with city attorney; Section 551.074 deliberation regarding
personnel matters; and Section 551.087 deliberation regarding economic development
negotiations. City Council adjourned for Executive Session at 6:27pm. Executive Session
began at 6:35pm and concluded at 7:06pm.
Mayor Huffman returned to the meeting after Executive Session, and Councilmember
Randy Robbins left the meeting prior to Executive Session.

Director Daniel Cortez who briefly discussed the Southlake Open Rewards Program.
