PROJECT: Hot Dog Vending Cart (Home Depot)
REQUEST: Tony Ficken is requesting approval of a specific use permit for outdoor sales and
services to allow the operation of a hot dog stand in front of Home Depot located at
300 N. Village Center Drive. The vender intends to operate from 8AM to 5PM
Monday through Sunday, 7 days per week. Unless otherwise specified and
approved, an SUP for outdoor sales and service is valid for a period of one year from
the date of City Council approval.

PROPERTY SITUATION: The property is located at 300 Village Center Drive.
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Lot 4R, Block 2, Village Center Addition
LAND USE CATEGORY: Retail Commercial
CURRENT ZONING: “C-3” General Commercial District
HISTORY: -The “C-3” zoning was placed on the property with approval of
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance No. 480 on September 19, 1989.
-A preliminary plat was approved by City Council for Village Center on
October 10, 1995.
-A site plan for the Home Depot was approved by City Council on April 2,
1996.
-Planning & Zoning Commission approved the final plat Village Center on
April 18, 1996.
STAFF COMMENTS: Due to the limited scope of this request and the fact that no changes are to be
made to the previously approved concept/site plan, no new review letter was
generated. The applicant is requesting to operate a hot dog cart outside of the
Home Depot. This site is subject to all conditions of the previously approved
plans.
