REQUEST: On behalf of Drex South Lake Partners, L.P., Drexel Heritage is requesting approval
of a specific use permit to allow a tent for the purpose of promoting retail sales. The
event will run from December 29, 2004 until January 18, 2005. The tent will occupy
seven (7) required off-street parking spaces. The following variance is being
requested:
• Number of Off-Street Parking Spaces Required – The required number of parking
spaces required for this site is 68 spaces. The applicant is requesting a 10%
reduction in the required number of off-street parking spaces, or seven spaces, for
the tent sale event.

HISTORY: -The “C-3” zoning was placed on the property with approval of
Comprehensive Zoning Ordinance No. 480 on September 19, 1989.
-A preliminary plat was approved by City Council for Village Center on
October 10, 1995.
-Planning & Zoning Commission approved the final plat Village Center on
April 18, 1996.
-A concept plan was approved by City Council on March 3, 1998.
-City Council approved a site plan for a furniture store on June 2, 1998.
