Martin Survey Abstract 1134 Tract 1 C1 A 1 C1 B 1 C2 & 1 F, an addition to the City of Southlake, Tarrant County, Texas PUBLIC HEARING Item 6B: Approve Ordinance No. 1282, 2nd reading, reducing in size a utility easement on Lot 1 R1 R1 R, Block 1, Sabre Group Campus Addition, an addition to the City of Southlake, Tarrant County, Texas PUBLIC HEARING Background Information: The Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT) is requesting the abandonment of these two utility easements recorded in D213036552 and D215235001 respectively. The easement on the unplatted lot from James B. Martin Survey is located along the northern end of the property and encompasses 0.391 acres of the 25.12 acre property. The portion of the easement on the Sabre Group Campus Addition being requested to be abandoned is located in the northwest corner of the property adjacent to State Highway 114, and encompasses 0.114 acres of the 75.288 acre property. The easement document for the unplatted lot from James B. Martin Survey was recorded on February 12, 2013 under D213036552. The easement document for the Sabre Group Campus Addition Page 1 of 2 Items 6A&6B was recorded on October 15, 2015 under D215235001. These recordings granted the City of Southlake the existing utility easements. These utility easements were designed for public and private utility use. Staff is requesting that a total of 0.505 acres of Utility easement be abandoned for use by TXDOT. This request is in relation to the State Highway 114 Frontage Road and Ramp Improvements project from Kirkwood Boulevard to Dove Road. The easement area to be abandoned does not contain City or franchise infrastructure and will not affect access to City or franchise infrastructure. Acknowledgements from Franchise owners have been received. Financial Considerations: Funding for this project is part of the approved Capital Improvement Program (CIP), as well as TxDOT and TCMUD No 1's Standard Utility Agreement.
