All items listed below are considered to be routine by the Metroport Teen Court Advisory Board and will be enacted with
one motion, There will be no separate discussion of items unless a Board member or citizen so requests, in which event
the item will be removed from the general order of business and considered in its normal sequence.

In Attendance: Council member Jessica Juarez (Keller), Sayeda Syed (Colleyville), Council member Ronell Smith
(Southlake), Vice -Chair Devika Seth (Southlake), Council member Leon Leal (Grapevine), Council member George
Bond (Colleyville), Sergio Harris (Grapevine), Katie Gillham (Keller), Kara Carreras (Southlake)
Absent: Chair Marjorie Lewis (Grapevine), Angela Walby (Keller -resigned)
REGULAR SESSION:
1. Call to order at 5:47pm by Devika Seth
REPORTS:
2. Administrative Comments (Staff):
Teen Court staff gave a presentation regarding referral information.
CONSENT AGENDA:
3. Approval of Minutes from September 18, 2023 Meeting.
Correction: Member Syed did not abstain from the By-law approval; she voted no. Motion made to approve
corrected minutes by George Bond and seconded by Devika'Seth. Unanimous approval by board.
REGULAR AGENDA:
4. Action: Appoint Teen Court Advisory Board Chair and Vice -Chair for FY24
Motion made by Devika Seth and seconded by Kara Carreras to re -appoint Marjorie Lewis as Chair. Motion
passed. Motion made by Kara Carreras and seconded by George Bond to re -appoint Devika Seth as Vice -
Chair. Motion passed.
6. Discussion: Teen Attorney Scholarship Requirements
Board decided to keep the 30 lifetime hours/12 senior year hours volunteer requirement from last year.
6. Dlscussion: Kids Joining Advisory Board
After dicsussion, the board decided not to go forward with this suggestion.
7. Update: Dates to Remember:
The next Advisory Board Meeting is Monday, January 8, 2024.
