All items listed below are considered to be routine by the Metroport Teen Court Advisory Board and will be enacted with
one motion. There will be no separate discussion of items unless a Board member or citizen so requests, in which event
the item will be removed from the general order of business and considered in its normal sequence.

In Attendance: Council member Jessica Juarez (Keller), Sayeda Syed (Colleyville), Angela Walby (Keller), Chair
Marjorie Lewis (Grapevine), Council member Ronell Smith (Southlake), Vice -Chair Devika Seth (Southlake), Council
member Leon Leal (Grapevine)
Absent: Council member George Bond (Colleyville), Sergio Harris (Grapevine), Katie Gillham (Keller), Kara Carreras
(Southlake)
REGULAR SESSION:
1. Call to order at 5:49pm by Marjorie Lewis

2. Administrative Comments (Staff):
Teen Court staff gave a presentation regarding referral information.
CONSENT AGENDA:
3. Approval of Minutes from May 8, 2023 Meeting.
Motion made to approve minutes by Ronell White and seconded by Devika Seth. Unanimous approval by
board.
REGULAR AGENDA:
4. Consider: Meeting Dates for FY2024
Motion made to approve meeting dates by Jessica Juarez and seconded by Devika Seth. Unanimous
approval by board. Upcoming dates are November 6, 2023; January 8, 2024; March 4, 2024; May 6, 2024;
and September 9, 2024.
5. Consider: Advisory Board member Manuals
6. Action: Approve Changes in Advisory Board By Laws
Council member Leal suggested inviting teen volunteers to participate in board meetings. It was
recommended by the board to discuss this at a later time. Motion made to approve by laws by Jessica Juarez
and seconded by Devika Seth. Board member Syed voted against. The remainder of the board approved.
7. Update: Dates to Remember:
The next Advisory Board Meeting is Monday, November 6, 2023.
8. Public Forum: There was no public present at this time.
9. Meeting adjourned at 6:51 pm
Motion made to adjourn the meeting by Sayeda Syed and seconded by Ronell White.
