Ordinance No. 1275, 1st Reading, adopt an ordinance to dedicate an
electrical easement to Tri-County Electric at Kirkwood/Sabre Linear
Park for the North White Chapel Boulevard – Kirkwood Branch
Roadway, Bridge, Sidewalk and Water Line Improvements Project.
Background
•N. White Chapel at Kirkwood
Branch damaged during September
2018 flood event.
•Emergency repairs made until
permanent improvement could be
designed and constructed.
•Bridge improvements will
encompass majority of right-of-way.
•Adjacency to U.S. Army Corps
property provides limited available
space to relocate utilities.
Purpose
•Request approval of a 0.124 acre
utility easement for Tri-County
Electric to relocate their lines
•On Kirkwood/Sabre Linear Park
Property
•Enable Tri-County Electric to
construct, maintain and repair its
facilities if the need arises.
Background
•Make room for the Bridge
improvements.
•Critical Drainage Structure No. 2 &
No. 3.
•Increase connectivity to Bob Jones
park with the addition of 8-foot
sidewalk.
Fiscal Considerations
The dedication of this easement will be at no expense to the City.
