Mayor John Huffman led the pledges of allegiance to the United States and Texas Flags. 3. SOUTHLAKE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE UPDATE Southlake Chamber of Commerce Chairman Chuck Hulett provided an update on the work of the Chamber. 4. OVERVIEW OF VETERAN'S DAY RECOGNITION ENHANCEMENTS Operations Manager of Special Projects Robert Briggs provided a brief overview of the City's Veteran's Day Recognition enhancements. HONORS & RECOGNITION: PROCLAMATION FOR PARKS AND RECREATION MONTH - JULY Deputy Director of Community Services David Miller introduced Parks Contract Administrator Junior Camacho and Parks Supervisor Terry Lee who provided information about the happenings of the Parks and Recreation department during the month of July. 6. DISCUSS ALL ITEMS ON TONIGHT'S AGENDA. NO ACTION WILL BE TAKEN AND EACH ITEM WILL BE CONSIDERED DURING THE REGULAR SESSION. Mayor Huffman reviewed the items on the consent agenda. Mayor Huffman opened a public discussion at 5:57pm. David Dowd, 2900 Hillcastle Lane, spoke in opposition to Consent Agenda Item 4D. AC Urbanosky, 2859 Raintree Drive, spoke in opposition to Consent Agenda Item 4D. There being no one else wishing to speak, Mayor Huffman closed the discussion at 6:03pm. REGULAR SESSION: Immediately following the work session 1. CALL TO ORDER Regular Session was called to order by Mayor Huffman at 6:13pm. 2A. EXECUTIVE SESSION Mayor Huffman announced the City Council would go into Executive Session pursuant to the Open Meetings Act, Chapter 551, Texas Government Code, Section 551.071 consultation with city attorney; Section 551.072 deliberation regarding real property; and, Section 551.074 deliberation regarding personnel matters. City Council adjourned for Executive Session at 6:13pm. Executive Session began at 6:22pm and concluded at 6:45pm. 2B. RECONVENE Mayor Huffman reconvened the meeting at 6:50pm. As a result of Executive Session, a motion was made to authorize the Mayor to enter into a settlement agreement with the Town of Westlake for driveway access and other construction-related purposes.
