Item 6E - Revised 2nd North Facade & ADA Spaces ExhibitUPDATE at JUNE 19, 2023
At the June 8 Planning and Zoning Commission hearing, we were asked to present one or more options
to City Council to address how we can better screen the dumpster (particularly the dumpster doors)
from State Highway 114. The following image shows our suggested approach to this:
■ The dumpster has been moved slightly to the west to create room for additional landscape
screening on the east side of the dumpster enclosure.
■ Three (3) Crepe Myrtle trees have been added on the north side of the drive aisle, blocking visibility
of the dumpster doors from State Highway 114.
The updated architectural site plan includes a few additional tweaks to the elevations presented to P&Z,
to further enhance the building's presence to the north:
■ The northern porch has been decreased in width to 6' wide, and the canopy overhead has been
pulled back, to improve visibility to the north fagade and building porch.
■ Three columns have been removed, two (2) from the north side of the porch and one (1) on the
west side, to enhance light and visibility to the porch.
■ The short sidewalk on the north side (connecting the porch to the main sidewalk) has been
centered between the easterly two columns.
■ Seasonal color has been added to the north side landscaping beds.
