5. CONSIDER: APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FROM THE MAY 18, 2023, SIGN BOARD
MEETING.
A motion was made to approve item 5 on our agenda.

6. Consider: SV23-0010, Sign Variance for HTeaO located at 190 Davis Blvd.,
Southlake, Texas.
Principal Planner Katasha Smithers provided an informal presentation of item 6.
Applicant, Todd Bockenfeld, 1245 Southlake Drive, Southlake, TX, 76092, came forward to
answer questions from the board.
A motion was made to approve SV23-0010 subject to our staff report dated June 2nd, 2023
and in particular noting with respect to signs Al and A2 that although we're
recommending approval as presented, the applicant is willing to evaluate the option to
reduce the size by plus or minus 20% before going to council. With respect to the
monument sign Bl, although recommending approval there, we want to encourage the
applicant to bring an option to council that complies with the ordinance fully. And in
particular, note that the marquee sign needs to be removed and the masonry needs to
go all the way around the sign. With respect to the menu board recommending approval
on that and also with respect to the directional signs recommending approval but also asking
the applicant to bring an option with the ordinance be complied to as well.
