SIGN VARIANCE APPLICATION
Demonstration
Please demonstrate that the following conditions are applicable to the requested sign variance:
That a literal enforcement of the sign regulation will create an unnecessary hardship or practical
difficulty on the applicant.
With the enforcement of the cities ordinance, it restricts the applicants business from further
beautification and diversification of its exterior storefront.
?. That the situation causing the unnecessary hardship or practical difficulty is unique to the affected
property and is not self imposed.
This business is unique given it is offset from any major roads with minimal foot traffic. Each
business within this development shares a similar architecture making it difficult to discern one
business from another. The applicant wishes to enhance their store front with window graphics and an
illuminated wall sign to better distinguish itself from the neighboring business's.
That the variance will not injure and will be wholly compatible with the use and permitted
development of adjacent properties.
The designs requested are rather subtle with no bright color sequences in its window graphics.
Furthermore, the graphics are of neutral color and match the professional setting in which this
business is located.
The illuminated wall sign proposed will have neutral, white LED's that will have no flashing colors or
animations.
4. That the variance will be in harmony with the spirit and purpose of the sign ordinance.
The spirit of the ordinance I believe will not be imposed on, as also stated above all additions will be
neutral in color and match the nature of this development, only to enhance traffic visibility and to
distinguish this business for their clientele.
