Action Requested: Approve an Encroachment and Joint Use Agreement for Southlake Town Square Addition, Block 2R1, Lot 4R for a pedestrian ramp, steps, and handrail within the city right of way of State Street for the development located at 280 State Street. Background Information: The tenant of 280 State Street is requesting to construct a pedestrian ramp, steps and handrail within right-of-way of State Street. The developer proposes to construct a new entrance into the building and will occupy approximately 100 square feet of the city right of way. This agreement will allow the developer to construct the ramp, steps and handrail located within right of way along the State Steet frontage. The pedestrian ramp, steps and handrail will not impede upon the pedestrian sidewalk access along State Street. There are no City utilities within this portion of the right of way. Staff is requesting City Council to consider the proposed right of way encroachment of State Street for the proposed improvements to the development at 280 State Street.
