CALL TO ORDER Southlake Arts Council Chair Tamara McMillan called the meeting to order at 6:00p.m. 2. PUBLIC FORUM Chair McMillan opened the Public Forum at 6:00p.m. Yvette Ramos Levy 8013 Black Sumac Drive Artist Presentation There being no one else present to address the Arts Council, the Public Forum was closed at 6:05p.m. 3. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES FROM THE JANUARY 24, 2023, JOINT SOUTHLAKE ARTS COUNCIL AND SOUTHLAKE YOUTH ACTION COMMISSION MEETING Chair McMillan presented item 3A, approval of the minutes from the January 24, 2023, joint Southlake Arts Council and Southlake Youth Action Commission meeting. Chair McMillan asked if there were any revisions to the minutes. No revisions were discussed. A motion was made to approve the minutes of the January 24, 2023, joint Southlake Arts Council and Southlake Youth Action Commission meeting as read. Motion: Doyle Second: Walker Ayes: Doyle, McMillan, Messing, Steinbrecher, Terrazas, Viktorin, Walker Nays: None Abstain: None Vote: 7-0 Motion passed. 4. CONSIDER 4A. APPROVE DISPLAYING ART IN THE SQUARE YOUTH ART COMPETITION WINNER DURING SOUTHLAKE PRESENTS EXHIBIT Arts Council member Terri Messing presented item 4A, approval of displaying Art in the Square Youth Art Competition Winner during the Southlake Presents Exhibit. Arts Council Member Messing was available to answer questions. APPROVED A motion was made to approve the displaying Art in the Square Youth Art Competition Winner during the Southlake Presents Exhibit in Town Hall as presented. DISCUSSION 5A. BOARDS MANUAL UPDATE WITH CITY SECRETARY AMY SHELLEY City Secretary, Amy Shelley presented an overview of the Boards Manual update and was available to answer questions. Direction to staff: None 5B. LIBERTY GARDEN ART INSTALLATION Assistant to the Director, Milenka Lopez presented an update for item 5B to the Arts Council and was available to answer questions. Direction to Staff: Provide an update to the artist with anticipated installation date during the fourth week of May. 5C. ARIA SOUND SYSTEM UPDATE Community Relations Manager, Vicky Schiber presented item 5C to the Arts Council for updates and discussion and was available to answer questions. Direction to Staff: Sound System updates anticipated installation date, April 2023 5D. SOUTHLAKE PRESENTS UPDATE Assistant to the Director, Milenka Lopez presented a progress update for item 5D to the Arts Council and was available to answer questions. Direction to Staff: None 5E. FY23 EVENTS DISCUSSION Assistant to the Director, Milenka Lopez presented an update for item 5E to the Arts Council for discussion and was available to answer questions. Direction to Staff: Discuss potential for an event partnership with APEX Arts League to bring in the Symphony Truck at a later meeting. 5F. Direction to Staff: Finalize Fall Arts Reception and Exhibit dates at next meeting 5G. PUBLIC ARTS TOUR DISCUSSION Arts Council Member Messing presented item 5G to the Arts Council for discussion and was available to answer questions. Direction to Staff: APEX to collaborate with Arts Council to create a Southlake Public Arts Tour opportunity. 6.
