ORDINANCE NO. 1270
AN ORDINANCE CHANGING THE NAME OF A PORTION OF A
STREET LOCATED WITHIN THE CITY PRESENTLY KNOWN AS
"PARKWOOD DRIVE", EXTENDING FROM THE INTERSECTION
OF E. SOUTHLAKE BOULEVARD TO THE TERMINUS AT 400
PARKWOOD DRIVE AND FURTHER DESCRIBED IN "EXHIBIT A";
PROVIDING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR
THE REPEAL OF INCONSISTENT ORDINANCES.
WHEREAS, a change in the name of a portion of a street located within the city
presently known as "Parkwood Drive", extending from the intersection of E. Southlake
Boulevard to the terminus at the current at 400 Parkwood Drive has been requested by Eric
Karl, the Timarron-Northwood Park HOA representative; and
WHEREAS, it is the intention of the City Council to hereby officially change the name of
such street as requested.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SOUTHLAKE:
Section 1. That all of the above premises are found to be true and correct and are
incorporated into the body of this Ordinance as if copied in their entirety.
Section 2. That the name of the portion of the street located within the City presently
known as "Parkwood Drive", extending from the intersection of E. Southlake Boulevard to
the terminus at 400 Parkwood Drive as described in Exhibit "A", is hereby officially changed to
"Olivia Court".
Section 3. If any section, article, paragraph, sentence, clause, phrase or word in this
ordinance, or application thereof to any person or circumstance is held invalid or unconstitutional
by a Court of competent jurisdiction, such holding shall not affect the validity of the remaining
portions of this ordinance; and the City Council hereby declares it would have passed such
remaining portions of the ordinance despite such invalidity, which remaining portions shall remain
in full force and effect.
Section 4. All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent or in conflict with the
provisions of this ordinance are hereby expressly repealed to the extent of the inconsistency or
conflict.
