P4rr�ZIS- Yational Ethics Awareness , Ronth is observed every 9Yarch as a time for indi-
viduals and organizations to reflect on the ethics they adhere to and how they
can improve upon them; and,
Whereas, ethics is a discipline of philosophy that studies morality, moral notions, such as justice, vir-
tue, and obligation, and morallanguage; and,
Whereas, this month allows all a time of reflection on what we and our businesses stand for, as well
as assess the level of ethical compliance that is critical for a workplace and its employees; and,
Whereas, the City of Southlake has adopted an ethical philosophy 6ased on the values of Integrity,
Innovation, Accountability, Commitment to Excellence, and Teamwork of which are foundational to
who we are as a City; and,
Whereas, these are the principles by which we operate and that guide our decisions. We understand
our roles and responsibilities, and pledge to: Do the right thing. Think outside the 6o.x Own it. Go
above and beyond. Work together. Always.
